For 45 months we have waited, prayed & trusted God ! And today, we have been blessed & overwhelmed by His amazing goodness & loving-kindness to our family. What was to be a day of stressful testimony and uncertainty is now a day of celebration & praise!

"Billy" is officially going to be a Perry !!!

We are still in shock, I think. It hasn’t fully hit us, but there have been many happy tears and lots of laughter at our home this weekend. We found out Thursday afternoon that Billy’s birth-mother had decided to withdraw her appeal of the termination of her parental rights if we were willing to have an informal relationship with her – sending photos or some supervised visitation, all at our discretion. So, instead of us all being in court today, the attorneys for both parties are working out the details of this arrangement.

There will be no more appeals! Billy will be placed for adoption with us, our homestudy will be updated and our attorney will file our Petition for Adoption. We could possibly finalize everything by September. This opens up so many new doors for our family…and we are just so excited!
